| Biography* | She was not baptised either in Harrietsham or Hollingbourne and so perhaps was born in London. Her first appearance is, therefore, in her mar. lic. at Canterbury, June 14, 1617, 'Walter Harlackenden of Funstall and Paulina C. of Hollingbourne, virgo. at Hollingbourne or elsewhere in dioc. Cant.' The Hollingbourne register records the in. June 16, 1617, 'Mr. Walter Harlaccenden, generosus, and Pelina Collepeper;' the baptism October 4, 1624, Of 'Thomas, the s. of Walter Harlackenden, Gent;' and the burials, November 26, 1625, of 'Paulina, the wife of Mr. Walter Haerlackenden, ' and December 20, 1628, of 'Walter Harlackenden, Esq.' . While owning property in Kent, the Harlakendens were a family long established in Essex.
