On 18 Nov 1931, in his will, James T. Culpepper, Sr. named as his heirs his son, James T. Culpepper, Jr., and his daughters, Araminta Culpepper Bailey and Susan Culpepper Upchurch. Executor was his friend, Louis S. Moore. On 12 Apr 1932, in a codacil, he gave his house to his daughter, Araminta, as long as she remains a widow. On 1 Jun 1934, in a second codacil, he named his friend William Copeland as executor to replace Louis S. Moore, deceased.
