DNA* From DNA and genealogical evidence we conclude that Harry Stuart Culpepper Sr. is a descendant of Benjamin Culpepper of Edgecombe Co., NC, who is a grandson of Henry Culpepper of Lower Norfolk, VA.

 He was the son of Sterling Gardner Culpepper and Clara Belle Simms.

1910 Census15 Apr 1910 Sterling, Harry and Charles was listed as a son in Clara Belle Culpepper's household on the 1910 Census at White Springs, Hamilton Co., Florida.4

WWI Draft Reg*1917 He registered for the WW-I draft in 1917 at Arcadia, DeSoto Co., Florida, (Except for his draft registration, there is no other known record of Harry Culpepper in DeSoto County. However, the 1920 census shows that his uncle Williiam Henry Culpepper was the manager of a farm in DeSoto County. So presumbaly, Harry was living and/or working with his uncle when he registered for the draft.).7 
Deed*21 May 1918 A deed was granted to him on 21 May 1918 at Marion Co., Florida.

1920 Census*1 Jan 1920 Harry was listed as the head of a family on the 1920 Census at Weatherford, Parker Co., Texas.9 
1930 Census*1 Apr 1930 Harry was listed as the head of a family on the 1930 Census at McIntosh, Marion Co., Florida.10 
Residence*10 May 1954 Harry and Martha resided at McIntosh, Marion Co., Florida, on 10 May 1954. (While Harry Culpepper died in Andalusia where his son, Stuart, was living, his official residence was in McIntosh with his wife, Martha. It is not known how long before Harry's death that they were living at this particular address, but in the period prior to his death, this residence was an old home that had been divided into several apartments. In November 2003, this beautiful home, in the heart of the McIntosh historic district, was in excellent condition.).11 
Death*11 May 1954 He died at Andalusia, Covington Co., Alabama, on 11 May 1954. Death certificate indicates he never served in the military and died of stomach cancer at age 61 in Hillcrest Infirmary..12,13 
Burial*13 May 1954 His body was interred on 13 May 1954 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Andalusia, Covington Co., Alabama.
