Biography* "My great-grandfather, Joseph Archie Culpepper, was a traveling dentist...or at least he made teeth as known by his love letters to my soon to be great-grandmother Sarah Lucinda Whitworth back in the year 1894," says Jan M. Williams.
From Libby Stalter: "Joey was a wealthy dentist and prodded the family to move to Missouri. The whole family moved except the two oldest children. ... they took 13 wagon trains." The moved was said to have been in 1892.
"While clearing land in Missouri, Joey was dynamiting stumps to clear them. He was killed while dynamiting. The tree, however, remains, and pictures of it exist."
