Biography* Zara's granddaughter, Letha yarber, said she cannot remember Zara and Joseph ever living together. She can remember them coming to visit separately, but never remembers them together. She said they were divorced before she was born or shortly after.
After Zara and J. G. separated, she ran a general store in West Eminence for years. She sold dry goods, had a soda fountain and groceries. Zara developed an illness and was only in bed for a short time before she died.
