Present May 17 to June 30, 1861; Present July & Aug 1861; Absent Sept & Oct 1861 sick at Camp Jackson; Present Nov & Dec 1861; Absent May & June 1862 sick, appointed 2 Sergeant 8 May 1862; Absent July & Aug 1862 sick; Present Sept & Oct 1862; Present Nov & Dec 1862; Present Jan & Feb 1863; Appears on roll of prisoners paroled at Vicksburg, MS 4 July 1863; signed the Oath of Allegiance 7 July 1863; Appears on list of officers and men of the 3rd Regt. LA Infantry who have reported in camp for exchange before 1 April 1864 at Headquarters Allen's Brigade 29 Mar 1864).3
