Research note*3 Sep 2004 Rachel's parents are uncertain. She may have been a brother of Thomas Culpepper [ID:84] since she was living near him in 1860 Norfolk. John Culpepper Jr. [father of Thomas] asked that his land be divided among "all his children" and so perhaps both Rachel and Thomas were living on their father's land. She was also living near George W. Culpepper Jr. and wife Celia, and so might have been more closely related to his family. Living between Rachel and Thomas was Sylvester B. Moore [Sylvester Bond? Moore] who witnessed the will of Thomas Culpepper above, and who was the administrator of a John Culpepper who died in 1857, thought to have been Thomas' son.
